In today’s Gospel from the Mass, Jesus heals a man with a withered hand on the Sabbath (Mark 3:1-6).
Knowing that the Pharisees were in the crowd and seeking to discredit Him, Jesus “looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart…”(Mark 3:5).
Jesus had a powerful gaze, an intense gaze. So powerful, that even His enemies were silenced.
While we should always rely on the mercy of our Lord, we should not forget of His condemnation of Sin.
